Brad graduated with honors in 1988 from Duke University, Durham, NC with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. During the four years he was at Duke, Brad was actively involved with Campus Crusade for Christ.
Upon his graduation, Brad accepted a position with the National Security Agency (NSA), Fort Meade, MD as a Research Engineer. He was one of the first biomedical engineers ever employed by NSA, and he held that position for seven years. While at NSA, he received an Invention Award as well as a US and International Patent for his work with biometric personal authentication systems.
While working as a liaison for NSA at the Department of Defense Polygraphic Institute, Fort McClellan, AL in 1994, Brad experienced God's call into full-time Christian service. He resigned from NSA and accepted the position of Field Staff with the ChurchLIFE ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. He served in this position until 1997 when he accepted the position of Director of Technical Resources in the ChurchLIFE National Office at Campus Crusade World Headquarters in Orlando, FL. In this position, he provided technical advice and support for each of the seventeen ChurchLIFE offices around the country. He also provided computer support for eight different Crusade ministries and over fifty users at the headquarters complex.
Brad has been a member of the Church at Brook Hills since 1992.
